Billing Insurance Out of Network for Therapy Services
*Note: Insurance cannot be billed for RTT or coaching services
Depending on your insurance plan, services may be fully or partially covered. Out-of-network benefits vary; some plans offer excellent coverage. Contact your provider to confirm your mental health outpatient service compensation or reach out to me for an estimate.
LSC can directly bill most insurance companies out-of-network on your behalf. Please note that payment for services is due in full to Liminal Space Consulting on the day of service. If you choose for LSC to submit your claims out of network, your insurance will pay you any reimbursement for services directly after the claims have been processed. You may have deductibles, copays, and coinsurance unique to your plan coverage that will apply.
Insurances that LSC can submit to out-of-network include:
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Cigna
HealthPartners (employee or individual plans)
Medica
Optum
Ucare
United Health Care
United Health Care Student Resources
I cannot bill the following plans: Blue Plus Medicaid through Minnesota Health Care Plan (MHCP), HealthPartners through Minnesota Health Care Plan (MHCP), Medicaid ("Straight MA"), Medicare, PrimeWest, and UCare Medicaid through Minnesota Health Care Plan (MHCP).
